Rating: ★★★★★

Short reaction: OMG cuuute!!!

Fav Quote: ‘Our dreams are the one thing we share that nobody else can touch. And now we’re going to lose it, and I am terrified’

For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist.
But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. It turns out, though, that Real Max is nothing like Dream Max, and getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped.
When their dreams start to bleed dangerously into their waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough?

Overall Opinion:  This is just one of those cute and fluffy reads that leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling and a smile on your face. I really enjoyed this novel even though I am not much of a contemporary reader :) But I flew through this book! Lucy Keating has managed to create a book with just the right amount of cuteness, romance, humor, and serious story telling which is really hard to find in most novels.

Writing: The writing was absolutely beautiful! I really liked the way the author described the dreams Max and Alice had together, they really let your imagination run wild. Her writing style just pulls you in and before you notice, hours have passed and you’re surprised to see you have turned the last page! At least it was like that for me… :)

Plot: I found the plot to be truly wonderful! It’s just so unique, authentic and refreshing! I have never read anything like this before. It’s one of those one of a kind books. The plot was also very interesting to read because you also get some scientific information about dreams itself which is really well done! I always love it when an author has done some research about the main topic of the story, it makes the book so much better!

Characters: Oh how I love these characters, and then I mean all of them even the secondary characters!! They are all so unique, each of them have such vibrant personalities and they are all so lovable! Short as this book was, I really feel like I came to know each and every one of them. They all have their flaws but that is what makes them so perfect!

Relationships: Perfect! The romance in this book is so realistic (apart from the dream walking part :)) It has its ups and downs like every other romance and it’s super sweet and heartwarming. It’s not overdone, it’s just right :) . I like the relationship between Alice and her dad as well! The way they acted towards each other just made me laugh, it was so funny!

Layout: I know they always say never judge a book by its cover but isn’t this cover gorgeous! I must confess I fell in love with the cover first and only then did I read the synopsis…. And I am so glad I did! The cover is perfect with the story! I also really liked the titles of every chapter they were so funny!

Flaws: None, as I have mentioned before this book is perfection! I wish it was longer though but on the other hand if it was longer the story might have gotten a bit tedious so it’s just right :)

Sum-up: Yeahh, I think I’ve mentioned the perfection of this book a little too much :) But I can’t help it, it just is! So if you are really into cute, sweet contemporary you should definitely read Dreamology, if not you should still read it :)
