Synopsis
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them--until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her.

His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul whose emotions range from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She doesn't believe in true love, and never thought this would be a problem. But as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

Review
Overall opinion: This book gripped me from the first page! And now that I finished it, it still hasn’t let me go! I loved absolutely every aspect of it! I can easily say that this is one of the best books I have read this year. I need the second book now! Like as soon as possible! It has been a while since a book series had me this exciting :)

Writing: The writing was phenomenal! Absolutely incredible! It was super nice and easy to read, and I practically flew through this book! Maggie Stiefvater managed to write a perfect mix of humour, mystery, adventure and so much more!! I could not stop reading it!

Plot: Mind-blowing! This story left me utterly speechless! The story is so original and extremely well told, in a manner that keeps you hooked to the story, desperate to learn more about what’s going on! There wasn’t a single thing about the story that I didn’t love! It’s mysterious, magical and not what you might initially expect, which is also why it’s so good, it’s not predictable.

Characters: I truly fell in love with all of the characters! I love Blue so much, she is such a strong character! And I love her peculiar family, they are all amazing and so funny!! And of course my sweet Raven Boys!! Gansey, Adam, Ronan, Noah, I love all of them!! They are so well written! I feel like I know all of the characters already! It has been some while since I was this attached to the characters from a book! I want to keep having adventures with them!

Relationships: The relationships in this books were also sooo good!! From the weird mother-daughter bond between Blue and her mother Maura to the Friendship between Blue and the boys and of course the bond between the Raven boys. Despite their occasional fights, I could see that they are like brothers and really love each other. I especially loved reading about that!

Layout: I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but this one was partly a cover buy for me :) Isn’t it gorgeous!! If the cover hadn’t interested me from the moment I saw it, I don’t think I would have read it. But I am glad it did!!!

Flaws: I have found no flaws in this book, none at all!! This book was perfect from the beginning to the ending! Truly amazing!!

Sum-up: So I advise all of you to buy and read this book as soon as possible!! It is amazing! Trust me :) you won’t regret it :) if you like paranormal and fantasy stories but amazing lovable characters: this is the book for you!! If not: still read it, you’ll love it anyway :)
